A Little Background
We have been in and around the wood stove business since the '70s - starting with the original Fisher airtight wood stove (You may remember the Mama Bear, Papa Bear, Baby Bear?). Through the years we have seen a lot of technologies come and go - but we realize that great service never goes out of style.
When we developed our outside wood burning furnace, we researched and “borrowed” features from the best. Features like Boiler Plate construction, forced draft, round firebox design, and an attractive “yard barn” design. We have also developed a few of our own revolutionary features - notably the Turbo-Burner Efficiency Insert, which we have applied for a patent.
We used to have dealers, but we spent way too much time holding their hand and fixing their mistakes. These dealers weren't bad people; they just didn't design hydronic heating systems every day like we do.
We decided to take the dealer markup and split it - part would go to reducing the selling cost of the furnace (saving you money) and part would go toward developing complete “JOB READY” pre-engineered self-install packages with pre-plumbed and pre-wired assemblies (saving you time and effort).
While we are not perfect, we do try harder than any other manufacturer to understand your needs, propose the best solution, deliver on our promise and support you through the (long) life of your system.
